...but I want a Corvette. Maybe it’s just middle age kicking in, but for the first time ever I could see myself in something like this.
I probably will never buy one and just stick to my paid-off minivan, but if I suddenly came into a lot of money I wouldn’t be embarrassed to be seen in one of these...

This is the least ugly C orvette that I believe has been built since the first generation , so I don’t blame you.

Wow that particular build looks awesome to me. I’m definitely warming up to the front, remain unconvinced about the rear. Can’t wait to see one in person.

Nice color choice. While I’m normally a fan of actual colors, after owning a bright red C4 for a couple of years I would choose to have a big-box sports car in boring color if given the choice just for the sake of attracting less attention. I’ve had other bright red cars and loved the color, but in the vette I felt a desire to not attract any extra attention.

how dare you

It was a Ferrari 308 that had me hooked on this color combo. And I loved the red interior on my Rabbit GTI.
I would rather have a dark green with the red, or maybe beige, interior, but dark gray over red would pacify me. I just wish the red was darker, more like the oxblood on that Ferrari since that shade looks a little more upscale and refined , but I’d take bright red over black any day of the week.

Best looking Vette since the 53?

Meh. I had a hard time with this one because it is ungainly. I’d call it third.

Well it’s on Leno Youtube right now if you are curious

I love the idea of the car even more than I like the actual car. It’s like a giant “fuck your overpriced mid engined exotic, this thing will kick its ass and eat its breakfast and be comfortable and practical while doing so. Cheaper AND faster with a good ‘ol fashioned V8 because that’s how we do it in ‘Murrica”
I fully expect it to punch way above its weight when it comes to mid engined or FR competion.

You mean this isn’t your favorite?

I’ll tell you what - I do think the car needs a flying butt ress. I hope someone does it in the aftermarket.

I’m more of a wagon guy but if I ever have the money and (frankly) past-mid-life crisis this is an incredible performance bargain. Used with the inevitable depreciation hit you’re talking $30-$40 grand for a 3-second to 60, 180+MPH beast with a sembalnce of DIY maintenance lowish cost of entry.

Honestly, how can you not want this, especially at the price point?
It looks like a 488.

Well, that’s a hot take.

Incredible performance for the money. The profile view is great, but I’m not sold on the front end design. Will reserve judgement until I see it in person.
Glad it exists. Hope the sell a shitload. Looking forward to the rest of the market’s response. Lots of high-level meetings the morning after the reveal!

Always cracks me up to see Leno in not-denim.

And weird old guy clothes, I was like, uh Jay... where did you buy that, looks new huh? Not in the denim closet eh? It’s his special event drawer.
